Just returned from a week in NYC with HealthEquity's PR firm, Richter7 and our Marketing Director John Sweeney. Very productive. Had meetings with nearly a dozen journalists and topped off the trip with appearances on both the Glenn Beck Show on Headline News as well as his syndicated radio program. During the trip, we had the opportunity to preach the benefits of HSAs and consumer-directed health care. I created a Top 10 Reasons HSAs Make Sense as a leave behind and thought I would share on my blog as well.
1. Not 'Use It Or Lose It'
2. Portable From Job To Job
3. HSA Funds Can Be Invested
4. You Can Use It Today Without Penalty OR Taxes
5. Health Care Spending Is Tax-Free
6. Empowers Consumers To Take Charge Of Their Health Care
7. Encourages Preventative Care
8. Reduces Individual Tax Burden
9. Lowers Premiums
10. Creates More Competition Among Health Care Providers
