State Offices for Health Equity: Good Branding and Good for Consumers

We’ve noticed the trend of states establishing Offices of Health Equity. The mission of many, if not all, of these is to improve the health status of underserved and disparate populations. We encourage those Offices to promote the idea of healthcare consumerism. Through better education initiatives and the offering of consumer-directed healthcare options, individuals and families that fall under the Offices’ purview will have the opportunity to better their health overall.
